The Ministry of Health included the city of Abucarana, north of Parana, among the list of 154 cities that will receive shipments of dengue vaccines. This was announced on Wednesday morning (27).
16 other municipalities in the state will also receive doses. They are all part of the 16th Abukarana District. The target audience for the vaccine includes children and adolescents aged 10 to 14 years.

The Ministry of Health did not specify a specific date, but it believes that vaccines will be distributed starting next week.
In total, 930,000 doses will be sent to 154 municipalities that will start vaccination and another 521 municipalities that have already received vaccines in February.
The bulletin issued on Tuesday (26) by the State Department of Health (CISA) showed that Paraná confirmed more than 22,000 new cases and 18 deaths due to dengue fever.
Now, the state has more than 135,000 confirmed cases and 77 deaths in the current pandemic period that began last year.
Of the 77 people who died, 15 of them were in Abukarana Health Zone 16, which is currently the area with the highest dengue infection rates in the state.
