A young man once again confirms before a group of judges the sexual assault on Dani Alves

The young woman who accuses Daniel Alves of raping her in the bathroom of a nightclub, in December 2022, repeated the accusations in court today, at the beginning of the trial of the Brazilian international player.

With the alleged victim's testimony being given behind closed doors, judicial sources revealed that the woman insisted on the accusation that Dani Alves sexually assaulted her, with violence and contempt, in the bathroom of the Sutton nightclub.

The young woman gave her testimony for approximately an hour and a quarter in Section 21 of the Barcelona court, where the football player was also present, but with them separated, without the Brazilian being able to see her.

In the statement, in addition to the presence of a screen, the young woman's voice was distorted, as was her image, to prevent her identity from being revealed, in the event of any type of image leakage abroad.

At the beginning of this trial, whose sessions were scheduled until Wednesday, a friend of the alleged victim also gave a statement in which he said that after what happened, the young woman “could not stop crying,” that she was “very nervous” and said that Dani Alves “hurt her.” .

The friend also said in the statement that it was difficult to convince her to file a complaint, because she realized that no one would believe her.

Dani Alves has been detained for more than a year, since January 20 last year, on charges of rape against a 23-year-old girl, which allegedly occurred on December 30, 2022, in a nightclub in Barcelona.

The player, who at the time of the accident was playing for the Mexican team Puma, but was in Barcelona, arrived today in a police car to the court, where his mother was, who had the opportunity to express her support for her son.

As part of the charge, the prosecutor is demanding a nine-year prison sentence for the footballer, although lawyers representing the alleged victim want a higher sentence of up to 12 years in prison.

The player, who came to give different accounts of what happened, had previously tried to apply for bail several times, which was always rejected as the court deemed there was a flight risk, even with the passport handed over.

The trial is taking place before a panel of three judges, headed by Judge Isabel Delgado, during which the testimonies of 28 witnesses are scheduled to be heard between today and Tuesday, before the court hears the experts and Daniel Alves on Wednesday.

The whole situation has tarnished the career of the footballer, who is considered one of the best players in the world in his position, playing for clubs such as Sevilla, Barcelona, Juventus, Paris Saint-Germain and Sao Paulo.

The right-back's achievements are countless, with the Club World Cup, the Champions League, the Europa League, the European Super Cup, several Spanish leagues, two in France and one in Italy, in addition to his achievements with Brazil, in the Olympic Games or the Copa America. .
