– I was, in principle, his only friend. We had daily contact.
That’s what the man says Express called “Stefan”. He is a neighbor of the Norwegian man accused of killing his partner and keeping her in a freezer for several years at their home in Värmland.
The man admitted his desecration, but denied killing his partner, who went missing several years ago.
We know this about the accused

says “stefan” Express that the two had dinner together and met every week. They used to call each other. He was by no means alone, according to the neighbor.
The police knew him well. They used to stop him often and wanted to see his driver’s license or check if he was drunk. If he wasn’t stopped while he was driving, he could call the police and say “I didn’t see you today, where are you?” Stephen says. Express.

According to the neighbor, the Norwegian accused grew up in southern Norway. He also worked there for a number of years, but an occupational injury meant he was unable to continue with his job.
After staying abroad for a few years, he moved to Sweden.
– Anyway, that’s what he said himself, Stefan says.
They soon became friends
He adds that the friend likes to tell stories about his past life, but some of them seem rather strange. They first met ten years ago, when the Norwegian parked his motorhome outside Stefan’s house.
– It was him and his roommates, and they said they’d been together for over ten years. Now they are going to move to Sweden. We became friends very quickly. He was sociable and funny. The friend says I often laughed at his tragic humor.
According to the couple, they met at a party in the early 2000s. Stefan describes them as sociable and happy in company.
He believes in spirits
Expressen has been informed by several sources that the Norwegian was raised in a purely Christian sect in Norway. It is said that paranormal spirits and phenomena were a frequent topic of conversations between the two friends, even up until their capture. It is also said that the Norwegian said that there was a ghost in the house. He is said to have called one of the spirits “the old man in the attic”.
A Nigerian exorcist was reportedly ordered to get rid of the spirit.
– The driver said he must take the soul with him to Gothenburg and from there to Nigeria, Stefan says.
He confessed to the theft, which never happened
After Christmas, the accused man’s health was said to have deteriorated. According to the friend, he started talking about wanting to go to prison.
– Call the police and take on a bank robbery in Stockholm. But nothing of the kind happened, Stefan tells Expressen.
The last time the two friends met was two weeks ago. Then they had dinner together. Everything was as usual. The next day, another neighbor told me that the Norwegian had fallen ill.
He was taken to the hospital. It was also here where he allegedly told the staff what was in the fridge at his home. Police suspect that body parts have been lying there since the fall of 2018.
– It was as if the world had fallen apart when I found out. I wouldn’t have thought of that. He wasn’t violent, and he certainly wasn’t a wife abuser. What happened is a psychological mystery, but it seems to have derailed in 2018. Something tragic happened, Stefan says.
