A BOLA - Two FC Porto players and one Benfica player in the race for the Puskas Prize (FIFA)

FIFA has just revealed the nominees for the Puskas Award, a recognition award for the best goal scored during last season.

Among the goals with great impact are those of Valentino Lazaro (Benfica), Luis Diaz and Mehdi Taremi (FC Porto). Voting can be conducted through the FIFA website, where the winner will be announced during the handover ceremony of The Best, by the world’s highest football body, on January 17, 2022.

He scored Luis Diaz’s goal in the Colombia-Brazil match in the Copa America on June 23. Medhi Taremi, another additional dragon on this list, is vying for the Puskas award with the goal he scored against Chelsea, for the Champions League, in a match played on 13 April. Valentino Lazaro competes with the goal he scored in the match between Bayer Leverkusen and Borussia Moenchengladbach, calculated on the Bundesliga and played on November 8, 2020.

The other winners in the race for the Puskas Prize are Gauthier Heine (Auxerre), Eric Lamela (Tottenham), Riyad Mahrez (Manchester City), Sandra Osu Ansah (Spartak Subotica), Vangelis Pavledis (Alkmaar), Daniela Sanchez (Mexico). Women’s Championship), Patrick Schick (Bayer Leverkusen) and Caroline Weir (Manchester City WFC).
