A Bola-Marchesin and Otamendi remain in the Copa America squad (Argentina)

Argentina coach Lionel Scaloni has retained goalkeeper Agustin Marchesin (FC Porto) and defender Nicolas Otamendi (Benfica) in the Copa America squad, which kicks off next Sunday in Brazil.

After last Tuesday’s match against Chile (2-2), in a qualifying match for the 2022 World Cup, the coach cut the names of Juan Foyth, Lucas Ocampos, Jose Luis Palomino, Emiliano Buendia and Julian Alvarez.

Goalkeeper Franco Armani, despite testing positive for Covid-19, will remain in the group, as will striker Lucas Alario, who is recovering from a muscle injury in his right leg.

Argentina will make their first appearance on Monday in the Copa America, against Chile, before facing Uruguay (18), Paraguay (21) and Bolivia (28).
