Lots of stab wounds

During the opening hearing of the defendant’s trial on Tuesday, police attorney Byron Gibson said prosecutors have tracking data that puts Josephson and the defendants together in the car.

The prosecution also has a “pointed object” attached to the man making cuts identical to those found at Josephson.

Josephson was stabbed multiple times — through the feet, all over the upper body, in the face, neck and hands, according to Gibson.

It is the deliberate, cruel and malicious acts that make the accused accused of the kidnapping of Samantha Josephson. Gibson said he is accused of killing Samantha Josephson.

The police lawyer claimed that the prosecution has surveillance recordings and testimonies from DNA experts, which support the allegations against the defendants.

Gibson added that he is accused of possession of a weapon of a violent crime, and in due course we will ask you to return the guilty convictions on each of these counts.

The defendant, who has pleaded not guilty to the charges, has been in the Richland County Jail since his arrest the day after Josephson’s disappearance.

– Lack of DNA evidence

However, defense attorney Alicia Goode argued during opening statements that investigators did not find DNA evidence on Josephson’s clothing or body, which links the accused to the murder.

– I want you to hear that number again, said Goode, which is zero, and he continued;

– It’s the amount of DNA on Samantha Josephson’s body that matches the accused. zero. Not on her clothes, not under her sore and infected toenails, not on her ankles.

Judd also claimed that investigators instead found DNA belonging to “kit”.

There is no evidence that the accused kidnapped and killed Samantha Josephson. A defense attorney said do not jump to conclusions in this case.
