The PSI-20 index ended the session down 0.74% to 5,149.11 points. The Lisbon Stock Exchange was in line with European markets, in a session in which the Stoxx 600 Index fell 2%, with renewed doubts about economic recovery.
In Lisbon, BCP led losses in the session, on the day most of the listed companies ended up in the red. Among the 18 listed companies that make up the benchmark index, 13 companies closed lower, 2 companies remained unchanged and only 3 companies rose.
BCP, one of the heavyweights, fell 2.35% this Thursday to 12.86 cents a share. Yesterday, after closing the session, the bank announced that Polish Millennium Bank Branch, which owns 50.1%, has made provisions in the amount of 460.1 million zlotys (102.1 million euros) for legal risks related to the foreign currency mortgage loan portfolio. This Thursday, the Bestinver reviewed the Recommendation highly Attributed to the bank led by Miguel Maya, who moved from “hold” to “buy”, leaving the target price unchanged at 18 cents a share.
The power sector also penalized the indicator. EDP fell 1.71% to €4,660 and gave Renováveis 0.29% to €20.72. On the other hand, Galp Energia was down 0.84% to €8.958 per share. And REN closed unchanged, at a price of 2.38 euros.
In retail, Jerónimo Martins fell 1.57%, shares closed the day at 16,575 euros, and Sonae lost 0.99% to 79.75 cents.
In this session, only Nos, Corticeira Amorim and Novabase were closed in the green. The largest numbers registered an increase of 1.82% to 3,016 euros.
