From 6pm today there is a new channel in the SIC world. Dedicated to the best fiction, SIC Novelas is on MEO, NOS and Vodafone operators.
“Soap operas are the most watched programs on television in Portugal, so it is natural for us to launch SIC Novelas. We believe there is room for a new show that highlights the quality that SIC has accustomed its viewers to: the best stories, the best creativity and the best talent. “This is the right time to expand our universe of thematic channels, as a result of the trust of our content distribution partners,” says Francisco Pedro Balsimao, CEO of IMPRESA Group.
“SIC's wonderful productions, the best stories and all the emotions of imagination will be present at SIC Novelas. “We want this new channel to occupy an important space in the habits of those who follow this television genre,” says Aida Pinto, Director of SIC Novelas.
The new channel starts with “Lua Vermelha”. The youth production will occupy the afternoon slot on the channel, from 6 pm to 8 pm. At peak time, from 8pm to 11:30pm, four major SIC productions occupy the antenna: “Espelho d'Água”, “Amor Maior”, “Rosa Fogo” and “Coração d'OURo”.
During the first hours, SIC magazines such as E-Especial will be present. Mornings are for the little ones with Uma Aventura.
SIC Novelas is available at position 14 on MEO, at position 131 on NOS and at position 69 on Vodafone.
