Apple in crisis? Before the weak sales of the new iPhone 16 Pro

It looks like a bright start to the pre-sales of the new smartphones that Apple can expect. Who says it is the analyst? Ming Chi KuoWhich speaks of poor results on the iPhone 16 Pro at the start of pre-sales on Apple's official website.

The overall figures reveal that Apple will sell around 37 million units in the first pre-sale weekend. That’s a 12.7% drop compared to the first weekend of iPhone 15 sales.

These numbers were mainly driven by the poor sales performance of the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max.

Apple's lack of intelligence based on numbers

One of the most notable news in recent months on the iPhone 16 is Apple Intelligence, Apple's artificial intelligence. The problem is that this has not been fully launched with the new devices, even in many countries like Portugal, it is not even expected to be launched in the near future.

When a major new feature associated with a device is not fully available at launch, this may deter some potential interested parties from purchasing. Especially since it is not advisable to buy a smartphone based on promises of what it will do or in the future, but rather what it provides right out of the box.

Despite the first weekend of pre-sales below, Apple’s long-term production plans shouldn’t change. The analyst says Apple will retain the potential to boost sales with the launch of Apple Intellingence and the arrival of its usual end-of-year holiday promotions.
