Video: Is that you Ronaldo? Dani Motta scores wonder goal to stop Inter champions

The mighty Inter Milan, the reigning Serie A champions, drew 1-1 at neighbours Monza on Sunday afternoon. There was a Portuguese man in the spotlight and he was named man of the match – Dani Motta.

The Portuguese striker, who made his debut for the national team last March, came on in the 62nd minute when the score was still zero, and made the difference in the 81st minute. He climbed to the “second floor” with a height reminiscent of Cristiano Ronaldo, and headed the ball into the goal.

Even Inzaghi said it was a “wonderful goal” when analysing the match. However, the visitors managed to equalise through full-back Denzel Dumfries, in the 88th minute, with Tarme already on the pitch. The Dutchman appeared inside the box to stop.

Inter thus allowed Napoli to escape and climb to the top of the Italian league with nine points. Monza has three.

In Cagliari, the new leader won in a useful way, 0-4. Napoli scored goals from Di Lorenzo, Kvaratskhelia, Romelu Lukaku (his first goal) and Bongiorno. David Neres assisted the last goal and provided three assists in 40 minutes as a Napoli player.

In other games on Sunday, Torino and Lecce drew 0-0 (with Gaspar Calonda in the second team), Atalanta beat Fiorentina 3-2, without Rui Patricio, and Genoa drew 1-1 with Roma. Vitinha was used as a substitute.
