ShA Cirque du Soleil performer fell during a live show in Portland, Oregon, on Saturday night. The young woman was hospitalized, but despite the scare, she is out of danger.
According to eyewitnesses at the scene, quoted by KOIN, the artist is Russian aerobatic athlete Maria Konviktova, who fell from an arch suspended above the stage during the first act of the show.
Benjamin Goldstein, a 10-year-old boy, was at the show with his sister Samantha, 9, and his father Brian, and was recording the show when the artist fell.

“At first, I thought it was part of the show, it seemed like it was purposeful,” Benjamin told KOIN 6 News. “But then, people were acting weird. I thought, ‘Oh, this isn’t part of the show. Something is going on.’”
After the incident, the circus production confirmed that “the artist was immediately assisted by the tour's intervention team, and was taken to the hospital for examinations.”
On social media, Maria Konevktova responded to a comment by saying she was “fine.”
