Carris Driver Threatened By Passenger Thanks PSP For 'Courage'

ShA driver for Carris, a public land transport company in Lisbon, thanked a member of the Public Security Police after he was “threatened by a passenger carrying a sharp weapon” on board the bus.

In a thank-you note, posted on the Lisbon City Council's Facebook page, the driver revealed that: “victim of a situation” “that could have led to tragic consequences”If the client, known as Marco Tavares, does not intervene.

The incident occurred on line 79B, which passes through Algeria, when “the driver was threatened by a passenger carrying a sharp weapon,” and was forced to stop the car to protect himself and “the passengers on board,” at 8 p.m.

“Agent Marco Tavares, despite being far from the scene, quickly learned of the conflict and with amazing efficiency and speed, went to the scene to provide assistance.”The driver added that “thanks to the quick and decisive intervention” of the police officer, “the attacker fled, avoiding a potentially catastrophic outcome.”

The man also praised “Courage and professionalism” Agent to handle the situation. “Your performance was essential to ensuring the safety of all involved. Your exemplary performance reflects the commitment and dedication of public safety professionals, ensuring the protection and tranquility of our community.”books.

However, the thank you note does not state when the incident occurred.
