Don't Suffer My Departure: Uncovering the Contents of the Letter Left by the Mother to Manuel Luis Gaucha – Verveer

Maria de Lourdes died a week ago at the age of 101, leaving an empty space in the heart of Manuel Luis Gaucha. Now, the TVI presenter has taken to social media to talk a little about the grief he is experiencing and reveal the content of a letter left for him by his mother, as well as his brother Carlos.

My mother was clear, very clear, but very slow in her movements. Yet, even in death, she gave orders, had the last word and left us a message. Surprisingly, she left us a message that my brother and I did not know existed. This message was written in 2003, 21 years ago, on June 8th.He began to explain the document in his hand, adding that only his youngest grandson, Felipe, knew of its existence: “This grandson was very important to my mother. In fact, this grandmother was very important to this grandson.”.

“My mother fell ill on the night of June 8, 2003, so, perhaps thinking she was going to die, she decided to write a letter to her children. The next day, she confided in her grandson, Felipe, and told him this secret. He asked not to open the letter until he died, which is what happened last Sunday. Felipe lives here in Alcochete, and he went to Coimbra to say goodbye to his grandmother and remembered. Or he remembered that there was this letter and went to look for his grandmother.”Vent.

Gocha was clearly moved, and read the letter to his followers: “My sons Manuel Luis and Carlos Jorge, when I die I want to be cremated. Once again I ask you: I want to be cremated and my ashes thrown into the sea because I am from the land of fishermen. I will always be with you, I ask you not to suffer from my departure, but do not forget me. You have always been my joy, you have been the most beautiful and best thing that I have had in my life, your mother, send me a kiss that I will receive wherever I am and I will also send you many, my children, to my grandchildren, to Isabel and Rui, until one day I will always be by your side. You and I ask God for you, my children and my grandchildren many kisses and see you always.”
