The doctor also confirmed in the statement that Trump is in “very good” condition and that he continues to feel that his ear is improving.

“I want to go back to Butler, Pennsylvania, for a big, beautiful public meeting,” the presidential candidate said Friday evening, Norwegian time.

Trump also appeared on Friday without a bandage or plaster for the first time, during a meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

“Based on my direct observations of the injury and background and experience treating patients with similar injuries, I completely agree with the initial assessment and treatment provided by the staff at Butler Memorial Hospital,” Jackson wrote in the statement released Friday.

The alleged perpetrator, Thomas Matthew Crooks, 20, fired several shots. One member of the public died and two others were injured.

The police killed the perpetrator on the spot.

After the incident, police admitted, among other things, that two police officers left their post before Crooks was struck.
