Nikki Haley believes Donald Trump is unfit to be president of the United States and on Wednesday night announced her full support for his campaign at the Republican National Convention.
– President Trump invited me to speak about unity at this national event. It was a gracious invitation. He has my strong recommendation. Period, Haley opened.
Trump and his running mate, J.D. Vance, were sitting in VIP seats in the massive arena in Milwaukee when Nikki Haley was cheered on to the stage.
Prevent war
She said that supporting Joe Biden's re-election as president is tantamount to voting for Kamala Harris as the next president of the United States.
“I have often criticized Donald Trump, but we have a lot in common,” Haley said. “And we have a country to save.”
Nikki Haley was ambassador to the United Nations during Trump’s presidency. She made it clear that Vladimir Putin and Russia had not attacked any country while he was president. She also praised Trump for withdrawing the United States from the Iran nuclear deal.
– She said that strong leaders prevent war.
Trump warning
Haley managed to collect 97 delegates in the Republican primary campaign, and last week she asked them to vote for Trump, and called for an intraparty rally around the presidential candidate.
She was not on the original list of speakers at the national meeting. But at Trump's invitation, she was able to speak at the national meeting during “prime time.”
VG was there when Haley ran her Iowa primary campaign in January. She then issued a clear warning to her then-rival:
“I think Trump was the right president at the right time,” he added. “I agree with many of his policies. But chaos follows him everywhere.” “We can’t have four more years of chaos,” Haley said during the Iowa caucuses.
lasted longer
Immediately after, one of Trump's rivals took the stage: Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.
Donald Trump nodded in relief in his box on the floor of the National Assembly as DeSantis gave him his full support — to become president and close the border to illegal immigrants:
“Donald Trump has been demonized, impeached and nearly killed,” the Florida governor said.
Both DeSantis and Nikki Haley were soundly defeated by Donald Trump in the primaries.
At first, DeSantis gave in.
Haley lasted the longest ever, until early March.
Now Trump is said to have promised her a central role in his administration if he wins the election, according to US media.
Note: President Joe Biden is also campaigning this week, while Republicans hold their national convention.
On Tuesday, he was in Las Vegas and spoke to the national meeting of the NAACP in Las Vegas, an African-American civil rights organization. According to news agencies, Biden confirmed that he is ready to run for re-election next November.
“I’m in,” Biden said.
“Organizer. Social media geek. General communicator. Bacon scholar. Proud pop culture trailblazer.”
