Donald Trump opened fire at a campaign rally

A bloodied Trump was evacuated from a rally in Pennsylvania. The alleged perpetrator was killed.

“I was shot through the top of my right ear,” Donald Trump said in a statement on Truth Social.

“There was a lot of blood and then I realized what happened,” he continues.

In a video from a campaign rally in Pennsylvania on Saturday, several shots can be heard before Trump grabs his neck and lies down.

'Get down! Get down!' they shout.

Shortly thereafter, he was attacked by several Secret Service agents.

As the agents lay on top of Trump, someone can be heard saying, “Shooter down.”

Shortly after, Trump was lifted back onto the stage. You could see he was bleeding from his ear.

“Wait, wait, wait,” Trump says before raising his fist in the air, followed by loud cheers from the crowd:

“We have to move,” was repeatedly shouted, and Trump was escorted off the stage and into a black car.

“USA! USA! USA!” the crowd shouts.

The car then drives away from the area shortly thereafter.

The Secret Service confirmed in a statement that the alleged perpetrator had died.

In addition, the security service announced that one attendee was killed and two others were seriously injured.

They said the perpetrator fired several shots at the stage from a location outside the event area.

– Trump thanks the police and health workers for their quick response to this horrific act, his spokesman Stephen Cheung said in a statement.

– Cheung says he is doing well and is being checked out at a local hospital.

He concludes by saying that they will be back with more details.

The incident is being investigated as an assassination attempt against Trump, according to two officials familiar with the investigation who spoke to The Associated Press.

President Joe Biden was informed of the incident, and said everyone should condemn the attack.

“I am grateful to hear that Trump is safe and well. My prayers are with him, his family, and everyone who was at the event,” Biden said in one post. Statement on X.

“This kind of violence is disgusting and we cannot allow it,” the president says.

A number of senior Democrats and Republicans condemned the attack, including Barack Obama, George W. Bush and Nancy Pelosi.
