On Wednesday, July 3, multiple emergency services rushed to a waste facility in Melbourne, Australia, after a body was discovered in a landfill.
This was reported by many international media outlets, including Al-Akhbar newspaper.
The body was thrown away
A Melbourne Police spokesperson confirmed in a statement that it was “a group of horrified staff” who made the shocking discovery at the recycling station.

The body has now been identified, police said on Tuesday, July 9. 67-year-old English teacher Annette has been found.
The main theory from police is that the 67-year-old was dumped in a bin outside his home in Epping, eight kilometres from the recycling station.
A 45-year-old man has been charged following the discovery – but police will not share further details at this time.

The entire Australian community is in shock after the tragic news.
“Annette was amazing,” former student Simona Gross told several media outlets. “I’m really in shock.”
She says the 67-year-old was a “teacher who saw everyone” and “brought out the best in everything and everyone.”
A former participant in “Paradise” has passed away.
Many of the 67-year-old's students laid flowers and lit candles around the school where Annette worked in her final days.
Social media is also full of words of remembrance and last greetings:
“This is horrible, it’s a curse, it’s terrible. I hope you find peace,” someone wrote on Facebook.
“Annette was beautiful, loving, and the kindest person in the world. This is terrible,” another writes.
Many of them write that death shook them, and they say they feel a sense of loss:
“This is the most stupid thing I have ever heard of. It is so heartbreaking. I hope the family and loved ones get answers,” wrote another former student.
