Meg Bellamy on hate: – I said I was too fat to play Kate

On the eve of last year, the sixth and final season of the hit Netflix series “The Crown” arrived on Netflix.

The season included the period in which Prince William, 42, and Princess Kate, 42, first met and became a couple.

The role of the British princess was taken by Meg Bellamy (21). But taking on this central role wasn't just fun for Bellamy.

-It was a long day of interviews and press conferences, and it went well. But when I opened my phone, there were a lot of negative things about my body online. The comments were mostly “You're too fat to play Kate.”

Anger at the “crown”: – “Nonsense”!

Bellamy tried to look away from the comments.

-I learned what it means to be a woman in this industry. I thought, “Well, this is a sign that you need to distance yourself, because this doesn't mean anything.” You can't get close to that kind of thing.”

Furthermore, she says the comments came more or less from “middle-aged men who posted a photo of themselves holding a fish.”

-Anyway, a lot of beautiful things have happened in my life. They're just losers who say things like that. I'm living my best life.

Bellamy played Kate last season. She played opposite Ed McPhee, who played Prince William.
