Found floating
Trapigner was found floating, dismembered and with a bag over his head, off the coast of the small village of Areco on Tenerife.
Areco is located about 50 kilometers from the coastal town of Callao Salvaje, where the Belgian couple lives.
Callao Salvaje is located halfway between Los Gigantes and Playa de las Americas, where many Norwegians make their pilgrimage on holidays.
An autopsy showed that the 66-year-old man died as a result of violence.
The arrested people are said to have quarreled with the couple over money, according to the Belgian newspaper the morning.
Two of the three were arrested in Belgium at the request of the Spanish authorities and are scheduled to be extradited to Spain. The third was arrested in Tenerife.

Everything is secret
The Spanish authorities have not yet identified the suspects. They did not specify what the three suspected.
A local court decided that all legal procedures in this case would remain confidential, according to the Spanish newspaper Diary of Ephesus.

On the way to yoga class
The couple was last seen on Monday, April 22, when they were on their way to yoga classes on the island. They never showed up to class.
When they also did not show up for the next yoga class two days later, Spanish authorities reported them missing.
Three days later, Laura Trabiniers was found dead. She was missing both legs Weida, according to the Spanish newspaper The light.

Mysterious events
Just before the couple was reported missing, several unusual sightings were said to have been made in their apartment.
A man who maintains the couple's pool says there was a light on in the house and the back door was open.
He claims Laura's cell phone and keys were in the house, but no one was home.
No one had been arranged to look after the cat – which, according to him, was very different from the couple.
– They did not go voluntarily, as the Belgian newspaper claimed Het Latest News.

The murder sent shockwaves through Tenerife's Belgian community.
The couple's friend Guy Devos says the following to the Dutch daily newspaper Algemeen Dagblad:
– It's terrible. The two were very happy and enjoying life here in Tenerife. They were kind and warm people and had no enemies at all. Belgian society here is speechless. And not just us Belgians, the news left its mark on the entire island.
He claims the couple's dark blue Opel Mokka is missing.
– Who wants to hurt the couple? where is the car? Where is Mark? He continues: “There are a lot of questions, and we do not understand them.”
The Belgian authorities confirmed to the newspaper that they were aware of the case, and stated that they were cooperating with the Spanish authorities.
