Apple on Monday presented the new version of the iPhone operating system – iOS 18.
At the moment, this version is only available for testing by developers. The launch is supposed to take place for the rest of the users in September only, as usual.
What are the changes?
The main change is possibility Customize your home screen. Starting with iOS 18, you'll be able to rearrange apps however you want, move them freely around the screen and create spaces between them if you want the background image to stand out.
In addition, you will be able to change the colors of the icons to your liking and even the night mode.
On the locked screen, it will now be possible to change the flashlight and camera shortcuts to other applications.
There are also new features in the Control Center, which gives access to Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, volume, screen brightness, and other options. With iOS 18, Apple is creating new areas within this center, where you can control, for example, music playback.
In the field of security, this would be possible Block and hide applicationswith access to it restricted with an authentication code.
Some apps, including Messages, will also be updated. RCS – Rich Communication Services – now works on messages exchanged with Android users, and it is also possible to customize the text with bold, underlined, strikethrough and even schedule messages.
