Álvaro Pacheco had his first appearance as coach of Vasco da Gama: Vasco lost tonight to rival Flamengo, 6-1, in the seventh round match of the Brazilian League.

Despite the defeat, the team of former Vitoria Guimarães coach was the first to score through Pablo Vigeti in the ninth minute.

Just half an hour later, former Benfica winger Everton Cipoliña made it 1-1, and five minutes later, the same Everton assisted Pedro with the conversion.

In the 43rd minute, Everton provided another assist, this time to David Luiz, also a former Benfica footballer. Speaking of former Reds players, Joao Victor was sent off in the 45+4 minute and Vasco's points were reduced to ten points.
