WhatsApp has increasingly invested in voice, even in the status function. But until now it was only possible to record a 30-second audio status update. This changes with the latest update.
According to what WABetaInfo reveals, the application has already received the necessary support for sharing audio clips of up to one minute in length. Remember, it was also possible to record status videos up to one minute long.
If you are one of those users who love to make use of the status feature to record audio and share it with your contacts, then this is definitely good news. For those who do not use the function, it can easily go unnoticed.
The functionality is available on Android and iOS
It is important to note that the new functionality was available in the latest version of WhatsApp on Android and iOS. Moreover, you will need to have this version of the application to be able to record audio status for up to one minute, but also to be able to listen to it for that duration.
This status feature has become an increasing bet on WhatsApp's part. It's an ideology similar to what we have from Instagram Stories, but adapted to the reality of WhatsApp. If you love sharing small things with your contacts via voice, now is the time to try it out.
