When you think about traveling, especially by car, there is a crucial aspect in your decision: the cost of fuel. Which, when added to other expenses – meals, drinks, hotel reservations… -, requires you to be more careful with your wallet.
In this sense, if you can save a few cents (or euros…) on your bill, you can always use Google Maps, which can show you the cheapest gas station.
According to the Spanish publication “El Economista”, Google Maps is the most widely used default map and a large part of this is due to the multiple functions and tools the platform offers to improve and provide a more complete map.
One of the great successes of Google Maps is that the map itself contains a series of updated menus containing information relevant to users: it could be the status of traffic on your route, whether there are road works or the location of fixed speed cameras, but this is not the only information that They offer it, as you can also find different prices at gas stations.
It is true that the price difference between gas stations is usually only a few cents, but it is worth it: to activate this function, simply open the maps and select our location or select your route and search for the gas stations section.
When you do this, all gas stations on the selected route or area will appear on the map, and are marked with a red icon. Directly, without having to activate anything, for each option the price of a liter of unleaded 95 octane gasoline will be shown – if you want to know the rest of the prices, just click on the gas station in question and it will be displayed.
