aHealth specialists from the Jaguariuna City Council visited another 616 properties in the Nassif neighborhood, last Saturday, April 20, in a new effort against dengue fever in the area.
According to a report issued by the Municipal Health Department, 402 homes have already been worked on by clients, with 172 homes closed.
At another 35 properties, the owners did not allow health staff to enter to inspect the backyards. Seven other homes were vacant. According to the Ministry of Health, nine samples of Aedes aegypti mosquito larvae were collected for analysis.
The Health Department stresses the importance of residents' cooperation, allowing customers to enter and following instructions on combating dengue fever and other diseases, and preventing water from accumulating in vases and other objects.
Saturday's operation is a continuation of the work carried out on April 13 in the Nassif neighborhood, where 230 properties, a total of 846 homes, were visited in two days of joint effort.
Since the beginning of the year, the Health Department has been implementing a series of joint efforts to combat dengue fever in the city's neighborhoods. According to the ministry, these measures are necessary to combat mosquitoes and prevent dengue fever by informing residents.
