Italian designer Pierpaolo Lazzarini has surprised the maritime world with his latest project, Colossea, an innovative megayacht equipped with a drivable zeppelin on the upper deck.

With an impressive overall length of 204 metres, Colossea features 22 luxury suites, offering accommodation for up to 44 people, as well as providing accommodation for a team of 20 dedicated crew members.

The truly innovative feature of the Colossi is the integrated drivable zeppelin, a feature that does not go unnoticed. This balloon, located on the upper deck, is powered by eight electric motors and can accommodate up to ten guests.

When not in use, the balloon space transforms into an outdoor entertainment area, with a swimming pool and a panoramic deck overlooking the ocean.

In addition to its luxury and practicality, the Colossi's design pays homage to aviation history. Inspired by the Norge, a semi-rigid airship that made the first verified flight to the North Pole in 1926, Colossea incorporates design elements that reflect this pioneering era in aviation. “It pays tribute to the Norge, a semi-rigid airship built in Italy, which, with a flight on May 12, 1926, completed the first verified flight of any kind to the North Pole, as well as being the first aircraft to fly over it,” the designer said. .
