EA has canceled the amazing Mandalorian game

Just two weeks after Insider Gaming's exclusive reveal of Respawn Entertainment's ambitious first-person shooter Star Wars Mandalorian, EA has officially announced the project's cancellation.

Again via Insider Gaming, reports are emerging from those who were producing it and even from those who actually played it, saying it was great. Despite very positive feedback from both creators and players, EA considered the game too financially risky and chose to halt its development.

The game, which was intended to place players in the world of the Mandalorian bounty hunter, promised an engaging gameplay experience. Players will have an operations center known as the Hideout, where they can organize their missions, improve equipment, and choose rewards to pursue across the galaxy.

Although it was not an open world game, The Mandalorian Project offered a mix of linear levels and expansive environments to explore. Combat, described as fast-paced, focuses on the use of the Mandalorian's jet pack for dynamic movement and impressive aerial maneuvers. Players encounter various enemies, including stormtroopers and bosses such as AT-ST walkers.

The project had already reached a significant level of development and was progressing at a good pace. The launch is scheduled for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S|X, and PC.

The cancellation is a disappointment to fans who were looking forward to Respawn's adventure in the Star Wars universe. However, with EA's decision, The Mandalorian's fate remains in the ashes
