The Municipality of Betim continues to strengthen multi-sectoral measures to combat dengue and other arboviruses throughout the city. On Saturday (2) a team of endemic disease control agents moves, from 8 am to 12 noon, through some neighborhoods of the northern region, to guide residents and inspect properties. The initiative includes the distribution of information materials, as well as guidance to residents and the elimination of potential breeding sites for the Aedes aegypti mosquito. The city municipality is also finalizing the update of the heat map – the areas most infected by the insect – to determine which areas will receive joint efforts to combat the disease next week. The municipal administration is also finalizing the final details for the opening of the second specialized dengue reception center (AED Center) in the city, which will operate an annex to Cimuc, in the Jardim Teresópolis neighborhood, as well as a temporary reception unit for patients suffering from dengue fever. , which will open at UPA Norte. Both venues will be open from Monday (4) and will be open 24 hours a day.

The measure will be implemented on Saturday in areas with high movement of people and high incidence of cases. The teams will be divided into two assembly sites: in Olegario Cardoso Neto Square, between the Bom Retiro and Nossa Senhora das Grasas neighborhoods, and in the Pau Brasil Street roundabout, between the Vila das Flores and Sitio Posice neighborhoods.
