The government creates Program to stimulate scientific research in the health field To promote health research in public institutions that provide health services and care, evaluate and train health professionals and qualify the practice of health promotion and disease prevention activities.

To create and implement the new program,Health + ScienceThe government has allocated more than 9.4 million euros, the amount allocated for the first two versions, with submission starting in 2024.

The program includes four investment axes:

1. Research projects that involve partnerships between entities supervised by the Ministry of Health and research and development institutions.

two. Supporting health professionals who wish to complete their doctoral degree while continuing their professional activity;

3. Doctoral scholarships for scholarship holders who wish to conduct part of their research there to be hosted by entities supervised by the Ministry of Health;

4. Supporting doctoral recruitment for entities supervised by the Ministry of Health.

Within the four axes, health professionals who complete their doctorate part-time have protected time, equivalent to 35% of the normal annual working period, up to 3 years, and are guaranteed payment of doctorate-related fees, among other supports.
