Dental plans recorded 32.2 million users in October

The latest data issued by the National News Agency showed the addition of 291.8 thousand beneficiaries in one month; Healthcare lost 11,000 in this period

The National Agency for Supplementary Health reported, on Tuesday (December 5, 2023), that exclusively dental plans registered 32.2 million users in October 2023. In one year, 2.4 million beneficiaries were added, and in the comparison between October and September, 291.8 thousand. The questionnaire can be viewed on the agency’s portal at Status room.

Medical assistance plans totaled 50.8 million users in this period. In medical and hospital plans, there was an increase of 963.3 thousand beneficiaries compared to October 2022, but in the comparison between October and September 2023, there was a decrease of 11 thousand.

Regarding the states, compared to October 2022, the sector saw an increase in the number of beneficiaries of medical assistance plans in 24 federal units, with São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Minas Gerais being the states with the greatest growth in absolute terms.

Among dental plans, 26 federal units reported growth in the year-over-year comparison. São Paulo, Mato Grosso do Sul and Rio de Janeiro were the states with the highest growth in absolute numbers.
