The former Argentine midfielder won the national championship with the Lions in the 1999/2000 season
Aldo Duscher, the former Argentine midfielder who won a national championship with Sporting in 1999/2000, gave an interview to ‘AS’ where he recalled his time with the Lions and where he lamented the fact that he was no longer able to play football because of… his knees.
“I played at all the lower levels at Newell’s [Old Boys] Until reaching first class. I also went through the youth categories of the Argentine national team. From there I went to Portugal to Sporting. I had two very good years there. at first [ano] We entered the Champions League and in the second we were able to win the championship. The club has not won the championship for 18 years and we managed to do it. Since then, Debord [Deportivo de La Coruña] hire me. I was there for seven seasons,” the former player, now 44, began to explain.
When asked about his trip, he added: “[Foi] Very positive. The truth is that I achieved a lot, learned a lot, and shared the locker room with great teammates. Football has an expiration date, you have to accept it. I left everything. These days, I don’t play football, and I can’t do that with my knee anymore. I’m so calm because I’ve let go of everything. Now I am in this new phase as a coach and I continue to prepare myself at any moment to have an important career path.”
Recall that Aldo Doscher left football in 2012, when he was representing the Cypriot club Paralimnio.
