The parents of Luis Diaz (former FC Porto) were kidnapped in Colombia

Luis Diaz’s parents were kidnapped on Saturday in Barrancas, La Guajira, Colombia.

According to the local press, the parents of the former FC Porto player were standing at a gas station when they were approached by armed motorcyclists and forced into the truck in which they were traveling with the kidnappers.

The Colombian Public Ministry announced that a plan has already been activated to discover the location of the victims. “From the moment we learned of the kidnapping of the parents of the Colombian player, Luis Díaz, in Barrancas, La Guajira, there has been a specialized team of prosecutors, employees of the Technical Investigation Authority and investigators from the police and the army in Gaula. “And take the necessary measures to find out the whereabouts of these people, clarify the facts, and find those responsible.”

Luis Diaz represents Liverpool, who host Nottingham Forest on Sunday at 2pm.
