Walk to discover one of the most beautiful fishing villages in the country

You’ll pass through stunning rice paddies and Stilt Wharf and set out to explore on a trail over 14 kilometers long.

You will pass some of the most famous places.

Few can resist the charm of the village of Comporta, like Christian Louboutin and George Clooney, who ended up buying a house in the area. In addition to the wide-sand beaches and turquoise waters, this area is also famous for its proximity to Europe’s largest port and the region’s rice fields.

In recent years, this former village of fishermen and farmers who worked mainly in the vast rice fields that beautify the area, has been transformed into one of the most glamorous villages in the country, with old stables turned into luxury restaurants, and old shops now displaying the finest design brands. Stilt Wharf, built in the mid-20th century, remains intact, and its timeless beauty makes it one of the must-see places in the area.

On November 11 (Saturday) you will be able to visit these places on the tour organized by Kaminhando. The match is scheduled to take place at 9:30 a.m. at Comporta Parish Council. Along the way, you will also be able to discover Herdade da Comporta, where the famous rice fields are located, and Campado and Bosanco are also must-sees.

Participants will cover a distance of 14 kilometers in approximately four and a half hours. The activity ends with a moderate level of difficulty at two in the afternoon. You should bring appropriate clothing and shoes for walking.
