The Weeknd came to Lisbon for “the best hamburger in the world” — we already know which one it is

The restaurant is very close to Campo Pequeno. According to one of the owners, the entertainer was “very laid back and casual”.

Abel Tesfaye, better known as The Weeknd, will perform at Passeio Marítimo de Algés on June 6. However, the 33-year-old artist is already touring around Lisbon. It landed on Wednesday, May 31, in Portugal, and has since moved to various places in the capital.

Walk around Praça Paiva Couceiro (in Arroios), photograph one of the sculptures by the artist from Setúbal Superlinox in Largo do Leão (also in Arroios) and visit the zoo. The artist shared these moments on his Instagram Stories, where he has more than 58 million followers.

As mentioned in one of the posts Taste “the best hamburger in the world” in Lisbon. NiT knows that the artist known for hits like “I Can’t Feel My Face,” “Save Your Tears,” and “Blinding Lights” ordered the dish at Burger Champ, on Rua Dona Filipa de Vilhena, near Campo Pequeno.

According to what Luis Castillo, one of the owners, told us, The Weeknd had dinner — with four friends — at the restaurant on Wednesday, May 31. As for the much-praised hamburger, Lewis revealed that the singer ordered the delighta bestseller at home.

The burger that won.

“It’s made on homemade bread with a little bit of cheese on top. It includes aged black Angus beef, cheddar cheese, crispy bacon, caramelized onions, ketchup, and mustard,” he explains. It costs €11.50 and is served with french fries. As for the drink, the singer chose Coca-Cola.

When he got there, the restaurant had few customers and the staff gave him “all privacy”. “And the feedback was very positive. We respected his space and never asked him for pictures, because he wanted to relax. He was very relaxed and spontaneous,” he says.

The experience was so good that The Weeknd even praised the burgers he tasted there on Instagram. “It seems to us that he will be back because when he said goodbye he said ‘see you soon'” [em português, é qualquer coisa como até à próxima]. He was at Burger Champ about an hour ago.
