Spain’s Ana Pelletiero, ex-girlfriend of Nelson Evora, gave an interview on Monday in which she talked about her life after giving birth, the way she found love with Frenchman Benjamin Campaore, as well as the “toxic relationship” she had in the past. In this regard, without revealing who she is talking about, the triple bronze medalist at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games said that her old boyfriend forced her to unfollow all the male athletes she followed on social media.

The revelation comes when she talks about how she came back into the arms of Benjamin Campaoré, a French athlete she was involved with before dating Nelson Evora for many years. “We both came from very toxic relationships, from which we were left very burned out. Without knowing how, I followed him on Instagram, without any intent and saw he did the same thing. I used to follow him, but my ex forced it. He started revealing about ‘Yo Donna’.”

Again without naming Nelson Evora, Pelletiero recalls the eye contact that took place during the Tokyo Olympics, at a time when he was (officially) still in a relationship with the Portuguese. “He saw me at the Olympics, five years after our first date, and he realized I was now a woman. I saw him on the track, but it was very annoying, because I was watching him in front of my ex-boyfriend.” [Nelson Évora]. Horrible! We didn’t talk. We just exchanged looks. I was drunk from my relationship and couldn’t get out of that circle. But in the end we were both able to get out of our toxic relationships at the same time. My goal was to stay single for at least a year, but that was up in the air. I was only there for 15 days. Although I was alone in my heart and mind for a long time.
