Ugarte leaves Sporting with his fate already decided

MIt is expected that Anuel Ugarte will leave Sporting, at the end of the current season, to travel to England, where he is interested in some of the strongest English Premier League clubs, including Chelsea, Liverpool and Newcastle.

This Sunday, the newspaper A Bola reported that the board of directors led by Frederico Varandas will have already started negotiating the departure of the midfielder, for which it intends to shell out 60 million euros, that is, the amount contained in the termination clause.

Recall that the Uruguayan international arrived in Alvalade in the summer of 2021, for 6.5 million euros for 50% of the economic rights, with the Lions obligated to pay another 2 million euros for another 10% for every 30 matches, up to a maximum of 80%.

The same post adds that currently the green and white team owns 60% of a player’s pass, with the player missing just two more games to get a new chip, so 70% is passed for a year. Total 10.5 million euros.

This means that the sale of Manuel Ugarte will get Sporting 42 million euros. The remaining €18m will be paid to Famalicão, which in turn will have to give up 10% of the added value to Fénix, the Uruguayan club from which he bought it.
