Xiaomi smartphones stop receiving MIUI and Android updates

Xiaomi strives to update its smartphones with new versions of MIUI and Android. However, with every new release, many smartphones end up neglected and missing updates. Now a new listing has been revealed, with 7 Xiaomi smartphones reaching the end of their support. Meet these new victims.

MIUI has brought you many new features that go beyond Android itself. Xiaomi's customization layer applies some of the company's improvements, making it unique to the devices it's on. It arrives annually and on many smartphones, not just the latest ones.

The information that is now being developed realizes that there are 7 other smartphones of the brand that no longer receive updates from MIUI and Android. It has not been confirmed by Xiaomi yet, but it leaves the following smartphones with no news in the future.

  • Redmi K40 Pro
  • Redmi K40 Pro+
  • Poco F3.0
  • Poco F3 GT
  • Poco X3 GT
  • Xiaomi Mi 10S
  • Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G

Although they are all Xiaomi equipment, this list includes smartphones from the Redmi line and also from POCO. They are machines that have been on the market for some time and are therefore reaching the end of their support, without any news in the future.

From what is known, it will not be only MIUI updates that will no longer be delivered, namely MIUI 15 and Android 14. It is said that periodic security updates will also stop being sent to these devices from Xiaomi.

Although users don't like it, this is a natural step for Xiaomi and any other brand. The creator of MIUI has a good habit of maintaining many new versions of Android.

Anyone who owns one of these devices should wait for the brand to announce it officially and on their website. These should then remain without updates or security fixes, just with some MIUI or stock Android opening the way for the news.
