The regions of Sorocaba and Jundiaí (SP) have intensified measures against mosquitoes Aedes aegypti After recording an increase in dengue cases in recent weeks.

In Itubefa, the municipality reports that it is making joint efforts to combat the disease, but many residents do not open their homes to receive zoonotic teams.

According to a survey conducted by the agency, of the 1,262 homes visited in Monte Sirat in March, 572 were closed or residents did not authorize the visit. The situation was repeated over a period of weeks in other neighbourhoods, such as Parque das Hortênsias and Vila Independência. The next task force was scheduled for Itupeva on 29 April.

During the procedures, the zoonotic team checks for mosquito infestations in homes. If so, it must be deleted. These employees will always be identified. The resident is asked not to leave any container in the backyard or in another room where water could accumulate.
