The almost legendary Kennedy family has been represented in Congress continuously for 75 years.

The most famous figures in the family are former President John F. Kennedy and New York Attorney General and Senator Robert F. Kennedy. Kennedy and Massachusetts Senator Ted Kennedy.

After the promising young Joe Kennedy III leaves Congress in 2021, the family line is not represented in top politics in the United States.

In the middle of Easter, it became known that Robert F. Kennedy Jr. He is officially registered as a presidential candidate. He wants to challenge President Biden in the Democratic nomination race, and bring the family back into the political arena. The 69-year-old Robert F. Kennedy Jr. never held any political office himself.

Despite this, he has a lot of experience in the election campaigns of his uncle Ted Kennedy and several Democratic presidential candidates.

For several decades, Kennedy has served as an attorney for several environmental protection organizations in addition to being a professor and author. His commitment to the environment led him to become a vocal critic of President George W. Bush’s environmental policies.

The National Disinformation Personality

Since 2005, Kennedy has worked actively to show the relationship between vaccine use and autism and many other diseases. His years-long commitment to vaccine use received a new spring during the pandemic.

He quickly became a national figure for spreading what is considered misinformation about the Corona vaccine.

But his fight against vaccines left a deep mark, even on his own family.

In 2019, several of his brothers and cousins wrote an article in Politico in which they pointed out that Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Its spread of misinformation about vaccines has had deadly consequences. A major poll conducted by the Pew Research Center in May 2022 showed that there is significant vaccine skepticism among Republican and independent voters who lean more toward the GOP.

So his views might be better received if he were fighting to become the Republican nominee.

The title won’t save him

The road to the White House may be a long one for Kennedy. With no heavy political office, he will struggle to challenge President Biden and other leading Democrats.

Even the legendary title will not save his candidacy.

Kennedy has already visited New Hampshire, which is one of the first states in the Democratic primaries in the new year in 2024. During the visit, he criticized Biden for changing the order of when primaries are held in different states, and that the new division is in favor of President Biden.

On the other hand, Kennedy has a lot of campaign experience and has already established himself as a national figurehead. He is considered a bold charismatic personality. But President Biden stands firmly in his party.

There are few leading Democratic candidates who want to challenge him in 2024. A field with fewer candidates could give Kennedy more room to maneuver.

As the black sheep of the Kennedy family, he is unlikely to bring the family back to the White House, but several family members may be eligible to make the move in the future.
