Bye Bluebird: Musk Changes Twitter Icon to Dogecoin Cryptocurrency Dog

Elon Musk changed his Twitter logo on Monday. The famous blue bird has given way to the dog which is the symbol of the Dogecoin cryptocurrency. The Twitter owner says he followed a suggestion received on the social network in March last year, even before he bought Twitter.

The change of logo caused the value of the cryptocurrency to rise nearly 30% on Monday, to 0.094€, and it is now trading (at 12:55 am in Lisbon) at 0.092€.

On his Twitter profile, the billionaire shared an old comment from a follower. “Just buy Twitter and change the bird logo to the Doge logo,” the caption reads.

The businessman has been sued by US investors for three Tweets Posted in your account about Dogecoin. Musk is accused of creating a cryptocurrency valuation pyramid scheme.

According to “Reuters”, Musk asked the US court to reject the process worth about 236 billion euros, which his lawyers and the electric car company Tesla (which also belongs to Musk) have classified as “fiction, a work of fiction.”

Some of the posts made by the entrepreneur in the past have led to a rise in the value of crypto assets, similar to what happened on Monday.

However, their lawyers say it is impossible to “support the claim of fraud due to the messages posted on Twitter.”
