A powerful camera could be Samsung’s trump card in the next generation Z Flip, a foldable mobile phone that fits in your pocket. The set of photos of the supposed Galaxy Z Flip 5 should follow the look seen today on the Galaxy Z Flip 4, but with more widgets and sensor formats. The promise will be to improve users’ experience on clicking, according to information that is beginning to circulate in the specialized press. The manufacturer has not commented on this matter.

Although Samsung dominates the foldable smartphone market, rearranging the camera could be a strategy to differentiate the Galaxy Z Flip from competitors such as the recently launched Oppo Find N2 Flip. These and other novelties may be presented in the second half of this year, around August.

Speculations are that the new sensor should increase the pixel size, which will help deliver images with improved quality, especially in low-light settings. The rest, in turn, could come with the same characteristics as the Galaxy Z Flip 4, that is, with 12-megapixel main cameras, ultra-wide cameras and a 10-megapixel front sensor.

Other rumors also permeate the manufacturer’s future launch, this time with projections regarding the display. In contrast to the camera, the external screen should present substantial changes and land on the market in a larger size, between 3.5 and 4 inches. This will help visually distinguish the future phone from the current one, which has a 1.9-inch screen.

Still on the foldable structure, it is possible to mention that the Z Flip 5 and Z Fold 5 have to invest in another type of hinge, this time in the form of a water drop. In practical terms, this would make for devices with a less noticeable fold and would also help include water protection for cell phones in this category.

The technical sheet could also consider the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 upgrade and include several storage options, with up to 512GB of space. The claimed characteristics should only be confirmed or refuted on the day the cell phone was launched, without an exact forecast.
