– When you think of the word “end of the world”, what do you think of? The end of the world, the end of life, something terrible and irreversible? But this is now.
These are the words in a post made by the Russian military on the Telegram communications platform.
In the post, there are several photos of the city of Marginka, which is located in the Donetsk region of Ukraine, writes Danesh. TV 2.

The city, once a lively city of 10,000 inhabitants, is now in ruins as a result of the war.
The photos sparked strong reactions from Ukrainian citizens and authorities.
Andrej Jermak, chief of staff to President Volodymyr Zelensky, compares Russian forces to the terrorist group Islamic State (ISIS), on Telegram.
– Marginka. There is nothing left. This is what the traces of Russia’s terrorist activities look like. Jermak says they are not very different from ISIS.
They were evacuated in November
Both Ukrainian and Russian forces occupy the Donetsk region, and many major battles are taking place in the region. The front line ran directly through Marginka.

So the city was evacuated by the Ukrainian police in November, but a drone video was recorded from the news agency AP From the end of last February, it appears that the fighting continues despite the evacuation.
The city’s police chief, Artem Stoss, believes Russian forces are continuing to shoot and blow up the rubble to clear out hiding places.
– They destroy everything because they are unable to win over our forces. That is why they want to destroy all living things, says the chief of police AP.
The city was so completely razed to the ground that it is not clear if Marjinka will ever be rebuilt in the future, Danish writes TV 2.
