Ten years later, the Ministry of Science and Technology confirmed that it will open the door for bidding in 2024. 16 bodies will be awarded. The announcement was made on Friday (24) by Pouch Secretary Luciana Santos (PCdoB).
The last time this competition took place was in the Dilma Rousseff (Workers’ Party) administration in 2012.

While the announcement is still pending, the minister said that in 2023, temporary professionals will be appointed to meet the needs of each body. However, it is not known when the public notice or temporary appointments will be issued.
We have a shortage of workers in the various research units in the country. We have 16 units directly related to the Ministry, as well as those that are not, such as Embrapa, FioCruz and Butantã, which are Brazilian heritage with which we have no direct connection.

Cetene (Northeast Strategic Technology Center) is directly related to the Ministry and has the most critical situation. Today, they have five researchers and 20 staff members and colleagues.
Last month, the Minister reported on the return of resources from the FNDCT (National Fund for the Development of Science and Technology. For the dossier, R$10 billion is available.
