The week begins with good and bad news. Find out how much you will have to pay to fill the deposit

If you let the weekend pass without filling up your deposit, especially if you have a diesel car in your hands, do not be surprised to pay more from Monday: according to a source from one of the main national oil companies to “Multinews”, “The evolution of quotes in euros indicates a rise A steep 7 cents per liter of diesel. 95 petrol, on the other hand, will drop by 0.5 cents per liter.”

Prices for the stations adjacent to the hypermarket will follow the market trend, with “a slight decrease of 0.0017 euros in petrol, a trend not to be repeated in diesel, with a sharp rise of 0.0583 euros,” another source presented.

Thus, from Monday, the cost of filling a tank with 60 liters of diesel will be 4.2 euros, while the bill for 95 petrol will be reduced by 30 cents.

The past few weeks have seen fuel prices drop, with petrol and diesel already selling at pre-war prices in Ukraine. The trend will be reversed this week.

Diesel, which recorded nine consecutive weeks of price declines – in that time period from 1.959 euros / liter to 1.554 euros, reducing the bill for a 60-liter tank by 26.76 euros – again showed a significant rise one week before Christmas. 95 petrol, the price of which in the past two months was 1889 euros per liter, this week it came to 1586 euros, which is equivalent to saying that shipping a tank of 60 liters was 18.54 euros cheaper in that period.

Data from the Directorate General of Energy and Geology (DGEG) shows that currently the average price of simple diesel in Portugal costs €1,554 per liter, while the price of simple 95 petrol is €1,586. The latest fuel bulletin by the European Commission states that Portugal is the 14th most expensive petrol 95 out of 27 EU countries. Diesel is the fourth cheapest fuel in Europe.

According to European data, the price of diesel and 95-octane gasoline in Portugal is lower than the European average set at 1.729 and 1.653 euros, respectively.
