DJ Eddie Ferrer, 43, has died of an aneurysm. The son of Zolemira Ferreira and stepson of coach Jesualdo Ferreira died early Saturday after recovering from the surgery he underwent at a hospital in Istanbul, Turkey.
“It is with great regret to inform you that DJ Eddie Ferrer left us early this morning.” The message arrived via Whatsapp on the mobile phone of his friends, this Saturday morning, stating that the son of Zulmira Ferreira and the stepson of coach Jesualdo Ferreira had died, hours after he learned that he had undergone a complex surgery, after suffering from an aneurysm.
Eduardo (his real name) was recovering from surgery in an Istanbul hospital. He left at dawn, aged 42, when he was preparing for another international performance. The DJ was traveling to Qatar where he was going to play on the pretext of the World Cup, when he fell ill during a layover in Turkey.
He was urgently admitted to Shafak Hastani Hospital, and soon he was admitted. The first news showed that everything was fine, but in the last few hours everything rushed, with the most undesirable results.
Zolmira “flew” to Turkey as soon as she learned what had happened and was close to her only child until the very end. At a time when she was divided between Portugal and Egypt, where her husband, Jesualdo Ferreira, coached Zamalek, the “red carpet” commentator (SIC) suffered a heavy blow of grief over the death of Eduardo, with whom she was very close.
In the joint letter, the family is grateful for the messages they have received and asks to “respect this moment of deep pain.”
