Ball - Ornes suffers muscle injury, Schmidt has leave (Benfica)

Benfica coach Roger Schmidt revealed, on Saturday, that Frederic Orsnes had injured his muscles while he was low in Benfica’s next three matches.

Speaking of injured, Goncalo Ramos remains in doubt until match time and Antonio Silva has no problem. Draxler was later in recovery.

The Norwegian midfielder and Portuguese striker left the match with Maccabi in the 32nd minute. Orsnes complained of discomfort in one of his hips and Schmidt and his team immediately decided it was best to make a substitution. On the other hand, Goncalo Ramos suffered interference from an opponent and spent some time complaining on the field. He ended up continuing to play, even scoring the team’s first goal, but left after showing pain in his left heel.

“Antonio Silva is fine, he doesn’t have anything, I didn’t change because of the injury, that was to give Lucas Verissimo minutes. Goncalo is not bad, but in doubt, we’ll see tomorrow. Orsnes will miss the next three games – he has a muscle injury, he won’t be available” , he said, also speaking of Draxler:

“He’s not ready, we hope maybe against Gil Vicente [dia 13, para a 13.ª jornada, ates da paragem dos campeonatos]. It’s in individual training, not integrated into group training, and we wouldn’t risk it.”
