Extension of polio, influenza and multiple vaccination campaigns for another 30 days – City Hall of Guarabira

The polio and multiple immunization campaign has been extended until Friday, 9/30, again for another 30 days – and continues until October 31, along with the flu vaccination. According to the Ministry of Health, all the vaccines that make up the national immunization calendar, including the polio immunization agent, are still available in the vaccination rooms of basic health units.

poliomyelitis – Regarding polio coverage, so far in Brazil there are 54.21% of children aged one to less than five years who are immunized against this disease; Target 95%. Paraíba occupies 89.77% of the vaccination coverage. Until then, the municipality of Guarabeira had covered 90.98% of the polio vaccination.
All populations under the age of five years need to be vaccinated to prevent the return of the virus that causes polio. Children under the age of one year should be immunized according to the vaccination status in the basic schedule. Children aged 1 to 4 years should take one dose of oral polio vaccine (OPV), provided they have already received the three doses of inactivated polio vaccine (VIP) in the platform.

flu Influenza vaccine is available in basic units for all audiences from 6 months of age. The 90% vaccination coverage target set for MS has not yet been reached. Guarabira has been vaccinated with 80.70% of the target audience, according to LocalizaSus.

Multiple vaccination – For multiple vaccination campaign (update of brochures) the available vaccines are: Hepatitis A and B, Penta (DTP / Hib / Hep B), Pneumococcal 10 valent, VIP (Inactivated Polio Vaccine), HRV (Human Rotavirus Vaccine), Meningococcal C (conjugated), OPV (oral polio vaccine), yellow fever, MMR (measles, rubella, mumps), tetraviral (measles, rubella, mumps, chickenpox), DTP (trivalent bacteria), chickenpox and polyomavirus Tetravalent human papillomatosis.
Vaccines for HPV, dT (adult dual), yellow fever, MMR, hepatitis B, dTpa, and meningococcal ACWY (conjugate) vaccines will be available for adolescents. All immunization devices that are part of the National Immunization Program (PNI) are safe and approved by the National Health Surveillance Agency (Anvisa).
