Several US states have experienced record high temperatures in recent months.

In Texas, heat has caused a river in Dinosaur Valley State Park to dry up completely — exposing traces of a 113 million-year-old dinosaur.

– Most of the tracks that have been discovered and discovered recently in different parts of the river belong to Acrocanthosaurus. This was a dinosaur about 4.5 meters tall and seven tons as an adult, says the spokesperson Stephanie Salinas Garcia in the garden for CNN.

Garcia explains that dinosaur footprints found in the river are usually underwater and filled with sediment — making them less visible. However, the effects are expected to disappear as the water levels rise again.

Finding this and trying out new dinosaur tracks is always an exciting time in the park, says Garcia.

Sixty percent of Texas has experienced a severe drought in the past two weeks, and authorities in the United States have issued warnings to millions of people.
