The deal is still in place and it is expected to have a positive outcome, but there are details that delay the conclusion of negotiations between Roma and Paris Saint-Germain.

Ginni Wijnaldum has been a name permanently associated with the Roma side, coached by Jose Mourinho, in recent weeks, and on Monday, Goal revealed why the deal was late.

After a disappointing season in Paris, Wijnaldum was offered a loan from Roma, and PSG were willing to pay half of the midfielder’s annual salary (4.5 million euros), in order to facilitate the surrender.

However, there is disagreement: the French are demanding that a mandatory purchase clause be included in the loan, with only Rome willing to accept an optional clause, between ten and 15 million euros.

The same source confirmed, however, that there is progress in negotiations and that an agreement must be reached later this week that goes against the player and Jose Mourinho’s wishes.

Last season, the 31-year-old Dutch international, who has also played for Feyenoord, PSV Eindhoven (Netherlands), Newcastle and Liverpool in his career, scored three goals and made several assists in 38 matches played in the French capital.
