A recent revelation from a royal expert points to a major emotional wound for Prince Harry over his stepmother Camilla Parker Bowles. As we know, Camilla was Prince Charles’ mistress for many years, including when Harry and William were two children, causing deep suffering to Harry’s mother, Princess Diana.
On the Pod Save the Queen podcast, royal expert Ingrid Seward said Harry “has little respect” for Camilla and isn’t interested in starting a close relationship with her.
“I don’t think Harry is interested in developing a relationship with his stepmother at this point in his life,” Seward said on the Pod Save the Queen podcast (via the Daily Mail), adding that Harry and William initially felt “overjoyed” to welcome Camilla home. The royal family and that it “was in the background” and “did not interfere”.
Case of Charles and Camilla
Charles and Camilla met in the 1970s, and even when Charles married Princess Diana and Camilla married her boyfriend, they maintained their “close friendship” throughout their marriage. It took nearly 30 years for the two to become a public and official couple.
In 1993, an intimate phone call between Charles and Camilla was leaked to the British press, which caused a major scandal. In the ensuing years, both separated from their partners.

“I don’t think Harry has much affection for her; he sniffs and fades with him. I don’t know about the last trip, but I certainly think Harry was very happy to accept Camilla at first, but then got upset with her and I don’t think he respects her that much.”
Recently, the British press has talked a lot about the release of Prince Harry’s memoirs, which will be released initially this year, but no more information has been revealed yet.
Additionally, royal biographer Angela Levine told The Sun that Harry was “very nice to me”. [Camilla]She said she was a wonderful woman and he said he liked her very much” when they first met and noted that Camilla was “very helpful to Megan when I first joined her – took her to lunch and tried to teach her some of the things she needs to know – limitations and disadvantages as well as positives”.
