Sanu Sherpa from Nepal is the first person to climb the world’s highest peaks at 8000 meters not just once, but twice.
This was reported by the climbing company Pioneer Adventure In Kathmandu, where the Sanu Sherpa works, report Reuters.
The 47-year-old man from Sankuwasabha district in eastern Nepal arrived in Pakistan’s second Ghashrbrom Thursday morning. This 8,035-meter summit is the third highest mountain in the world.
– He’s the only person in the world to have climbed each of the top 14 mountains twice, Nipsch Karke, CEO of Pioneer Adventure, tells Reuters. No further details were immediately available.
Eight of the world’s highest peaks, including Mount Everest, are located in Nepal. The rest is located in Pakistan and Tibet.
“With his rope repair, rescue and other mountaineering skills, he has always been able to impress our valued customers,” Pioneer Adventure writes on their website.
